Drew Danburry tour poster, 2004(?)

Drew Danburry, 2013
Drew Danburry “Tree on Wheels”
When I first moved to Provo, I spent most of my time skateboarding with the Callis brothers. Not only am I very fond of the memories I have of that time but I’m extremely grateful for the friendship they gave to me when I was in a strange new place with few friends I had anything in common with.
A few years later one of the brothers described the first time he saw me skateboarding as seeing a “Tree on Wheels” and I thought it was funny = song title.
I don’t think the song needs much explaining though, or do you?
Drew Danburry, 2005 “Red Rock Virgin’s Encounter with Winter Nights”
The music video for “Red Rock Virgin’s Encounter With Winter Nights” was filmed in 2005 at a college party with a big group of friends. It’s really fun to watch for me because I love seeing how all these wonderful people are similar and sometimes different compared with how they are now. We had a lot of fun, too.
The music video was shot on black and white Super 8 film and I developed it by hand in the bathtub which is why it came out all scratched and beat up. This was intentional.
What wasn’t intentional is that when I got the digital video scan of the Super 8 negative, it was green and instead of reducing it to gray scale, we kept it green because we liked it.
